Social sustainability

For Benders, social sustainability involves consideration for and commitment to people who are in any way affected by our internal and/or external operations. Internally, an example area of this is ensuring our employees: have a commitment to their work and the opportunities and freedom to develop as individuals; feel included; and, enjoy good health.

Externally, the area embraces, amongst other things: initiatives to strengthen and develop people locally and globally; and, ensuring that our suppliers live up to our requirements as regards, for example, human rights.
