Axtveten – New product!

True Bohus granite comes from the heart of Sweden’s Bohuslän. Surrounded by the region’s rock faces and buried boulders, it is quarried and carefully refined into products that enrich both private gardens and public settings. We now have the honour of welcoming a new granite type to the Bohus family – Axtveten.

Axtveten

Benders’ granite range has now expanded to include various types that differ from each other in colour and structure.Nonetheless, our production and eco-awareness are the same for all our Bohus granites. To minimise the climate footprint, all quarrying and refining is in Bohuslän.The result is beautiful, sustainable products that last for generations.

Kristoffer Persson, Benders’ head of natural stone, is here seen holding the new granite type in his hand.He reveals that, as of 2023, this new stone will be in our standard range as Bohus Blocksteg Modern (“modern Bohus blockstone step”) and Bohus Granithäll Elegant (“elegant Bohus granite slab”).Additionally, in all its forms, it will be available for customer-unique orders. However, surface-treated (e.g. flamed, bush-hammered and polished) products show the stone to its best advantage.

“With its deep red lustre and even structure, Axtveten is a warm granite.”

Kristoffer continues by relating that Axtveten is excellent for both private and public settings. It helps to create a warm and distinctive tone for all your projects.Rounding things off, he states that the new stone is a range widener. Added to our Ävja, Näsinge and Nolby granites, it makes the range even more complete.Indeed, mixing Axtveten with these other granites is easy and creates, for example, beautifully patterned market squares and paths.
