In the latter part of the 18th century, the estate Södra Björstorp was built—a magnificent, historic octagonal estate inspired by the Danish hunting palace Fredensborg and Amalienborg. In 2018, the estate was destroyed in a fire, leaving only the walls standing once the fire was extinguished. Reconstruction began in 2019, and by Christmas 2021, it was ready for occupancy. During the reconstruction, Benders' Hansa 1-barrel clay rooftile cut frontend was chosen, combining the easy installation of a concrete roof tile with the traditional feel of clay tiles. The result is a newly built estate with old-world charm that will be just as timeless as its predecessor. |
