Oxie Centre has been renovated with a new park, public square, and improved cycle paths. The previously smooth walls of the road bridge have been clad with cast-in graphic concrete tiles from Benders, featuring designs inspired by the surrounding area, such as Kungshögarna, the old Oxie station building, and Oxie Church. Isn’t it striking? Graphic concrete allows you to customise the appearance of concrete surfaces. The desired design is printed onto a special membrane using a surface retarder and then placed in the mould. The retarder prevents the concrete from curing where it comes into contact with the membrane, and after casting, the uncured surface is washed away with water.
