Benders is expanding in Mälardalen and Hjo in Sweden. SEK 40 million is going into enlarging the Bålsta facility in Mälardalen and SEK 10 million into a new production unit in Hjo.
Bålsta in Mälardalen is northern Europe’s most modern paving stone factory. The SEK 40 million investment enables a doubling of capacity to meet the ever increasing demand for paving stones, slabs and walling systems. Planning is in full swing and is scheduled for completion in the coming weeks. Building is due to start in the summer/winter and production is to be fully up and running at the start of 2009.
In Hjo, SEK 10 million is going into a new production unit. Start-up is scheduled for after the summer. The investment will vastly increase the capacity of the Hjo unit.
