Lindholmen, Gothenburg

Lindholmen has transformed from an old shipyard area into Gothenburg’s
most knowledge-intensive and rapidly expanding district. New housing and
office spaces have been built, and Maskinparken—a welcoming green
oasis with an innovative design—has been created near the old machine
hall. The park is strategically sunken to manage heavy downpours and
can accommodate up to 500 cubic metres of water if needed.
Along the park’s outer edges, meadow-like plantings with trees and a
pergola contribute to a relaxed atmosphere. Together with Benders Bohus
granite, the park is designed for a sustainable future.
